The Table

Produce-driven French, rooted in Japan

Nearly every ingredient is Japanese and seasonal, bought direct from the farmers, fishers and hunters our chef works with. The monthly-changing course is built around domestic game — and paired, glass by glass, from a cellar that runs from world wines to hand-picked sake.

Domestic game

Venison, duck and wild boar in season — often a “double main” of game and prime meat.

Wine & sake pairing

An all-inclusive course with around 30 pours — wines from around the world beside seasonal Japanese sake.

An intimate room

A cave-inspired hideaway with counter seats and a private room — for a couple, a celebration, or a quiet dinner.

Our Philosophy

Here, you won’t hear us talk much about “luxury ingredients.”

What we treasure most is the story — who made this, and the hours and care they poured into it; and by what quiet turns of fate it has come to meet you, here, tonight.

In the wine, the vegetables, even the plates, lives a maker’s life and sense of beauty. To touch a little of that is, we hope, what makes the conversation — and the evening — with the person beside you a little richer.

In this quiet, cave-like room, we invite you to take your time and savour tonight.

A dining experience you will find only in Japan.

Talk pairings, in English

An English-speaking sommelier at your table

Ask about the sake, the vintage, or what sits best beside the venison — our sommelier will guide you through the whole evening in English. A rare thing in a French room in Tokyo.

The Arrival

A hidden door, an antique telephone

Antique telephone at the hidden entrance of Bistro Omnibus

  1. Find the antique telephoneIt sits on a little stand by the entrance.
  2. Lift the receiver — or press the buttonThe small brass-black button beside it does the same.
  3. We come to youA member of our team will open the door and walk you in.
